Our association goes so far behind that when she asked me to come and inaugurate the store, I was honored to do so as she is my favorite designer. The biggest USP of Gopi is that not only are her clothes gorgeous and wearable, but she is a lovely person so I hope all the ladies here will celebrate this occasion by doing what they do best, shopping!"

However, Arnaz and Gopi were keen to showcase their collection in Mumbai to the many who are increasingly seeking the global yet local – the glocal aesthetic and that is how the store got its place in Mumbai's heritage precinct, Kalaghoda, offering  the perfect geography for this charming home-grown label. Charmi Shah’s ‘Coast Of Style’ Debut Collection Launched With 30 Top Models Amidst Celebrities

Gen Next Designer Charmi Shah made remarkable debut with her collection ‘Côte du Style’ at a 5 Star Hotel last evening in Mumbai

Charmi showcased 32 of her best designs from her first set of collection ‘Côte d'Azur’ inspired by the French Indian art work on the ramp. The models walked the ramp and the show stopper of the evening was none other than the Ajay Devgn & Prabhudeva’s ‘Action Jackson’ fame Manasvi Mamgai. Entertaining the evening was the host, super cool VJ Andy of ‘Bigg Boss’ fame.

Manasvi adorned a pink and gold bridal lehenga which represented romance and femininity. The sexy cuts under the bust and the indigent mirror work embellishment on the neck line made the choli the statement piece of the whole look. Perfectly complimenting the choli was the lush ghagra with intricate embroidery and a gold net dupatta that looked breathtakingly beautiful, thanks to the ball lace and heavy tassels giving it the right doze of oomph and style.

Apart from Manasvi as the showstopper, the guest list had television actors like Ritwik Dhanjani, Nandish Sandhu, Mrunal Jain as the front row guests celebrating this young budding designer. Actress Ankita Shorey, Shaad Randhawa and Aslam khan also attended this event and everyone was in awe of Charmi’s latest collection.
